Events
Canoga Park has focused on community-based, grass-roots events for over 20 years! Home to the famous Annual Día de los Muertos Family Festival boasting upwards of 30,000 attendees, you can also find yearly artwalk series and events collaborating with incredible partners like DisclosureFest as well as the weekly Farmer’s Market, the yearly Memorial Day Parade and St. Patty’s Day Sidewalk March and Celebration.

History
Canoga Park founded on March 30, 1912, mainly known then as an agricultural community. In the 40’s Los Angeles Pierce College was built and the large aerospace firms (Rocketdyne, Litton Hughes Aircraft) arrive in the 1950s. Paving the way for an incredible mixture of people, places and businesses that we know and love today. Sherman Way is the main thoroughfare that encompasses Historic Old Town Canoga Park where the businesses are lively and diverse.

Working together, through partnership, cross promotion and resource and skill sharing is the heart of the community in Canoga Park. Making great things happen together between the Canoga Park Improvement Association, Main Street Canoga Park, the Canoga Park Neighborhood Council and many more organizations as well as key individuals is paramount to the enrichment of this town and the people in it.
